Whether you are just starting your family history or you are looking for a new perspective on your research, Ancestry is a great library resource.
Normally, Ancestry is only available to our patrons from within a library location, but due to COVID-19 library closures Ancestry agreed to allow remote access temporarily for library patrons. The initial end date for remote access was June 30, 2021, but we just heard from Ancestry that they are extending remote access through December 31, 2021.
Please let your patrons know that they will be able to access Ancestry from outside of a library through the end of the year.

Could you please send instructions how to access Ancestry for Patrons from afar.
Thank you.
To access Ancestry Library Edition remotely, patrons can click on the “Visit” link from the county’s eLibrary site, which you can find here: https://elibrary.einetwork.net/ancestry-in-library/
They will be prompted to enter their library barcode number and PIN. (These are the same credentials they use to log into the county’s library catalog.) They can contact their local library if they need help obtaining this information.
